Who Am I? Glad You Asked.

Hi, I’m Hailey

I’m not going to tell you Disney is magical and leave it there. I’m going to tell you which resort isn’t worth the price tag, which “must-do” is actually a waste of your one week of vacation, and exactly how to avoid the mistakes that turn a dream trip into a stressful one.

My love for Disney started before I can even remember. I visited Walt Disney World more times as a kid than I can count, and through my teens and into my twenties, I made the most of every Florida resident ticket deal to keep going back. I’ve always been that friend — the one who knows all the random Disney facts, tips, and tricks, and gets a text every time someone’s planning a trip. I’d thought about becoming an official travel advisor for years. This year, the timing finally felt right.

One of my favorite Disney memories is a girls’ trip with my mom and sister — our last trip together before my sister and I got married. We walked 21 miles in three days and laughed the entire time. That kind of trip is exactly why I do this.

If you want proof of how deep this goes: the night I rode Rise of the Resistance for the first time, I came home and watched a three-hour YouTube video just to understand how the ride actually worked. Disney could have taken the easy route on that ride. They didn’t. That’s basically my whole philosophy on Disney summed up — everything they do has a reason behind it, and once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

These days I’m mom to three kids of my own — a 4-year-old and 2.5-year-old boy/girl twins, so yes, I know chaos. I’ve done the stroller-in-security, meltdown-at-the-monorail, forgot-the-sunscreen version of Disney, not just the highlight reel. I know what it’s like to want this trip to be special without it wrecking your budget or your sanity.

I’m budget-conscious by nature, but I’ll tell you when something is worth every penny. My whole approach is radical honesty: if a hotel isn’t worth the price, I’ll say so. If a restaurant is overrated, I’ll tell you why. You deserve a planner who’s straight with you, not one reciting a brochure.

Favorite airline: Delta

Favorite WDW park: Tie — Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios

Favorite ride: Tower of Terror

Favorite Disney restaurant: Homecoming (Chef Art Smith’s)

Favorite Disney movie: Frozen

Favorite nighttime show: Happily Ever After — I cry every time

Most overrated ride: Tron. The launch is cool, but the queue and preshow are underwhelming and the ride itself is over in a blink.

Underrated hidden gem: The Frozen Singalong at Hollywood Studios — it’s hilarious

Best time to go: Mid-to-late January — lower crowds and near-perfect weather

Park shoes: On Clouds, all the way
