Would I Book This Week? Disney World January 24–30, 2027

Thinking about heading to Disney World January 24–30, 2027? Here’s my verdict in my ongoing Would I Book This Week? series.

What I like

The New Year’s period, Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend and the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend are all earlier in January. That makes these dates worth comparing if you’re flexible. It’s not a guarantee of low crowds.

What I’d watch

January weather can be chilly, so pack layers and don’t count on perfect pool weather. Ride refurbishment schedules matter too, especially if your children have a favorite must-do attraction.

What I’d check before booking

I’d compare resort prices and promotions, park hours, attraction availability, and the cost of the tickets and extras your family will use.

My verdict: Yes, I’d consider it

It’s a promising week for families who aren’t tied to school holidays, with some important winter tradeoffs. I would price it alongside neighboring dates rather than book purely on a crowd prediction.

What else is happening January 24–30?

Disney has confirmed EPCOT International Festival of the Arts for January 15–March 1, 2027. If you love food booths, art and festival entertainment, that’s a plus for this week. I’d still verify operating hours and any refurbishments closer to the trip.
